Paschimottanasana – Seated Forward Bend / Fold

Yoga Pose Instruction Paschimottanasana Step 1. First step to perform seated forward fold / bend. 1 a- Line up mid-rear on vertical midline 1b - Line up rear with a horizontal line.
Yoga Pose Instruction Paschimottanasana Step 2. Second step to perform seated forward fold / bend. 2 - Sit tall. Deep inhale. Extend arms straight up overhead (Block is optional).
Yoga Pose Instruction Paschimottanasana Step 3. Third step to perform seated forward fold / bend. 3 – Exhale. Slowly hinge at the waist as far as your body allows. Don’t overextend.
Yoga Pose Instruction Paschimottanasana Step 4. Final step to perform seated forward fold / bend. 4 - Drop hands to the mat outside of legs and note a contact coordinate. 4a - Grab legs or feet or use block to extend the hinge. Continue performing pose - Track consistency and progress over time
